Congratulations to André Stevenson, who won the Paul E. Torgersen Graduate Student Research Excellence Award for 2018. Every year, the College of Engineering highlights the top research by graduating Masters and Doctoral students. This year there were 53 applications for the competition. Finalists were required to give a ten-minute oral presentation of their research, followed by questions from the audience. André’s talk was titled "Improving Gelatin Nanopills for Greater Success in Medical Applications."
André received a Ph.D. degree in MSE on May 10, 2018. He completed his dissertation, “Synthesis, Characterization and Performance of Gelatin Biopolymer based Nanoparticle Formulations for Molecule Encapsulations,” under the direction of Professor Abby Whittington.
